FACEYOGA by Laura
Say goodbye to Botox, fillers, plastic surgery -- say hello to FACE YOGA! Using the tools of yoga (visualization, mindfulness, breathwork, musclework, present moment awareness) be prepared for a fun and beautiful practice for the muscles of the face, shoulders and neck. We will also work with fascia, lymph and acupressure points. And most importantly, we'll work with affirmations of self-love and self-care. So we can glow from the inside out! We will do this FUN and EFFECTIVE practice via FaceTime or Zoom. Be prepared to see amazing results with a consistent practice!
Yin yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with poses that are held for longer periods. A more meditative approach to yoga, yin poses apply moderate stress to connective tissues with the aim of improving circulation and flexibility while cultivating stillness, self-awareness and focus in yoga practitioners of all levels.
AERIAL YOGA I (Foundations)
Never tried yoga before? How about yoga in a silk? Well then, come on in and give it a try! If you have experienced aerial yoga before, come join us, and immerse yourself in an environment where you can begin to work with the other layers of your practice like breath and alignment!
AERIAL YOGA II (Vinyasa)
Take your yoga practice to new heights. Think Vinyasa flow with the added challenge of doing sun salutations on one leg...and much, much more!
P O W E R VINYASA
Vinyasa focuses on the synchronization of movement and breath to create a moving meditation. Sun salutations, arm balances, inversions, backbends and pranayam will be weaved throughout the practice for exploration on many levels. This is an all levels yoga class and customizations will be offered to honor each practioner's body.
(Saturday Class is a 75 minute practice)
VINYASA FIT YOGA
Get ready to sweat with this Vinyasa-style yoga class. After warming up with sun salutations, the focus will be on building heat, core strength, flexibility and balance. Modifications offered and suitable for all levels.e!
Yoga Nidra, which means "Yogic Sleep," is a blissful practice where the practitioner is guided into a state of alert awareness and deep relaxation to help relieve stress, resolve inner conflict, restore and calm the mind.
Contemplative Yoga (a class designed by Maryam Ovissi and Jafar Alexander of Beloved Yoga) allows more space to explore the subtle layers of the practice: breathwork and meditation. This class explores the limbs of pranayama (expanding the breath/life force) pratyahara (sensory exploration from the external to the internal) and dharana (focused mental practiced to quiet the mind field and experience peace). The class is 1 hour long with 20 minutes dedicated to silent contemplative practice. Open to all levels.
TRAUMA INFORMED YOGA
A gentle style of yoga designed to assist anyone who has ever experienced trauma, anxiety, depression or a general disconnection from the body. We find our way back inside our bodies through movement and breath, then begin to self-regulate, to feel safe, grounded and present, and to trust our bodies and our minds again.
We offer a safe environment within which to explore, rediscover and reconnect not only with our bodies and minds, but also with family, friends and our community.
Kids yoga helps children develop awareness of their bodies, improves motor skills and gives them an outlet for self-expression. Yoga also teaches focus and self-calming techniques, which are great when it’s time to relax or go to bed!
CAT YOGA AT LEXINGTON HUMANE SOCIETY
Mind Over Body Studio and the Lexington Humane Society have teamed up to bring you cat yoga. If you would like to join in the fun, classes are held at the Nancy T. Barron II Habicattery, every other Monday at 6 pm. This a Karma Yoga class with a suggested donation of $15.
All donations benefit the over 5,000 animals cared for each year!
Even if you can't make the class, you can still make a donation to the Lexington Humane Society. They are currently in need of canned cat food, preferably with a pull-tab lid.
Mind Over Body's Karma Yoga classes are taught by our staff as well as recently certified instructors who are learning how to do their work in the world! Most often these classes are all levels Vinyasa classes that focus on movement with breath to create a moving meditation.
Customizations are offered to honor each practitioner's body.

Private yoga lessons, allow you to focus on your goals and get personalized instruction based on your health, body type and lifestyle—and on your time. Whether you want to learn the foundations of yoga in a comfortable, private setting, deepen your current practice, or even maser a particularly challenging pose. You will receive one-on-one attention and instruction that is fully tailored to your needs.
We have the utmost appreciation and respect for those who paved the way for us, those who are our future, and those who serve our community and country. To that end we offer a 10% discount to seniors (65+), students, children, teachers, first responders and members of our armed forces.
PRIVATE YOGA THERAPEUTICS
Therapeutic yoga is an inherently holistic approach, simultaneously working on the body, mind, and spirit. We will seek to evaluate each client’s needs and decide what is best on a case-by-case basis. Through the application of yoga methods and practices, we will work towards alleviating specific problems (physical, mental and/or spiritual) coupled with a combination of knowledge (specific to the problem), experience and intuition. The instruction focuses on our client’s condition and how yoga techniques can help them feel better or improve their function.
